About the Role
The Yorkshire Kitchen is looking for a reliable and efficient Production Operative to join our small production team.
The role will primarily involve producing our range of flavoured butters, following established recipes and production procedures to ensure our products are made consistently, safely and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on food production role, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy production environment and can work efficiently while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and attention to detail.
Full training on our products, equipment and production processes will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing flavoured butters according to established recipes and production instructions
- Weighing and measuring ingredients accurately
- Operating production and mixing equipment following training
- Filling, packing and preparing finished products
- Following food hygiene, allergen and food safety procedures
- Completing basic production and traceability records
- Cleaning and sanitising equipment and production areas
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient workspace
- Checking products for quality and consistency
- Working efficiently to meet daily production requirements
- Assisting with other production and packing tasks as required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in food production, catering, food manufacturing or a similar environment
- Has a good understanding of basic food hygiene and food safety
- Works efficiently and is comfortable in a hands-on role
- Has good attention to detail and can follow recipes and written instructions accurately
- Is reliable, punctual and organised
- Is comfortable carrying out repetitive production tasks while maintaining consistent standards
- Can work both independently and as part of a small team
- Takes pride in keeping their working environment clean and organised
A recognised Food Hygiene qualification would be beneficial, although additional training will be provided.
Hours
The role is for 2 days per week, working 8 hours per day (16 hours per week in total). We can be flexible on the days and times worked.
The position will initially be offered on a temporary basis, but there is potential for the role to continue or expand depending on the needs of the business.
